Though modest in it's scope, ktmMusic represents the culmination of a life’s work.  Since 1981 I’ve been playing guitar and writing songs, and for many years these originals remained unfinished (a chorus, a bridge, or a hook, with a verse or two).  Instead of finishing these songs, I typically chose to draft the next new idea. The result was a notebook with hundreds of unfinished songs, some of which were actually good.

A few years back I resumed this work.  All of the time that I’d spent writing as part of my job, the things that I'd read, seen and done, the people I’d met and the stories they told, the musicians that inspired me, and the passing of the years led to this shift.  I've recently finished many of the best of those old songs and have written new ones as well, which have come to form a sort of 'Best of' collection.

The mission of this endeavor is threefold.  In the coming years, I hope to expand the community of musicians of which I am now a part... to work up different set lists of covers and originals to play on the front porch, around the camp fire, and up on stage... and finally to continue to write, copyright, and publish original songs with the hope that they might inspire others to add to these performances and or bring them to a larger audience.
